Itinerary
7 AM or 8 AM departure, return approximately at 5pm
7:30 AM – we will have local breakfast & coffee
9:30 AM – we arrive at the Mekong Delta:
Like all locals, our day starts at the bustling traditional farmer market, tasting fresh fruits and local delights such as coconut cake, pandan cake or pressed tea biscuit,…
9:30 AM – we board the ship and tour the Mekong river’s junction while hopping on and off to visit:
- Neighbor’s distillery, the pain-aid for the farmer’s back
- The “First Wind” island to enjoy Amateur Theater and seasonal fruits
- Traditional rice paper making and taste test with “longan honey soy-sauce”
- Learn 2 secret methods how rice merchants test 1000 tons of rice for shelf-life and type of rice everyday.
11:00 AM – Leaving the boat we will take on the “Mini Rustic Motorbike Tour”
- A local will drove you on a motorbike to the “Outback of the Mekong”
- Visit our local host’s farm, where they grow more than +500 edible fruit trees
- (Optional & Require) Fish for the delicacy “Yellowtail catfish”
12:30pm – Arrived back at the local host’s home for “Mini-cooking session” with the host’s family
2:00pm – Say goodbye to Mekong’s family as we head back to the city. That would be the end of the tour. Thank you so much!
